Hasegawa 1/72 Kyushu J7W1 18-shi Shinden Model Kit

Hasegawa 1/72 Kyushu J7W1 18-shi Interceptor Fighter Shinden

Below is my first model kit that I have built in two years and my entry to my local IPMS Chapter's Semi-Annual Competition, where it received 3rd Place in the Aircraft category out of three entries
I love unusual looking planes, stemming from my time playing Crimson Skies in 5th grade "Flight Club". This prototype plane has been one of the closest I have seen to date so it was a pleasure to build.
My biggest struggle came with the decals silvering, even after putting three (3!) layers of Micro Sol on top of them. Also, if they suggest putting a weight in a model kit, follow the instructions. Since I ignored that step, my plane has a tendency to tilt its nose upwards onto the vertical fins or propeller.
Colors:
Mecha Master Acrylic Primer - White
Vallejo Gloss Vanish
Vallejo Matte Varnish
Vallejo Model Wash - Black
All the colors below were custom mixed craft acrylic paint to it imitate the suggested colors on the box for Gunze Sangyo H36 Ina Green (Nakajima), H58 Interior Green, H61 Green (Mitsubishi), H24 Orange Yellow, and "Propeller Color"
