Hasegawa 1/72 Kyushu J7W1 18-shi Shinden Model Kit

Hasegawa 1/72 Kyushu J7W1 18-shi Interceptor Fighter Shinden

Below is my first model kit that I have built in two years and my entry to my local IPMS Chapter's Semi-Annual Competition, where it received 3rd Place in the Aircraft category out of three entries

Mission Objective: Archives

Welcome!

I'm starting this blog as a repository for my work in progress and the completed work of my model kits and other projects. As the number of features in photo hosting sites has gone down, I've been searching for a place where I could keep my photos and access them whenever I wanted without too much restriction. This platform seemed like the right place to do that and share my work.

For those who don't know me, I am a Mechanical Design Engineer who fell in love with the Gundam franchise when Gundam Wing first aired on Toonami. My first model kit was a 1/144 NG Destiny Gundam that I colored using sharpies during a summer camp, but it really started with a 1/144 HG Gundam 00 my freshman year in college over 10 years ago. Since then, I have painted multiple kits including Super Deformed, High Grades, and Master Grades. Besides Gundam model kits, I've built a few glue together kits, including a Revel 1/48 Spitfire Mk II and 1/60 Corvette ZR-1.

In the past few weeks, I've felt more inspired to build, paint, and share my work in a higher quality than before. This is due to finding a local IPMS group that meets regularly, a Gunpla specific modeling group, as well as joining a small Discord server that shares all my passion for model kits. Seeing everybody's work and excitement pushed me to want to do better also.

Hope you enjoy!
